A set of photos from the 1970s of rock stars in the homes of their parents.

New lyric: You are the Dream

reed has posted a new lyric, for the song "You are the Dream". Check it out here.

Brand new tune "You are the Dream"

I stayed up stupid late because I just couldn't wait to share our latest song and video.  Isaac and I wrote it during rehearsal tonight, and we got so excited we went ahead and recorded a 4-track demo and made a deeply silly video demo.

So give it a listen.  It might just be about you!

"Undercover" Revealed

We tried to keep it under wraps, but the lastest tune to make it into our regular set just demanded we bring it out of hiding and stop calling it "Stewart Gochevsky."

So, fresh from the vaults and never seen before, is "Undercover":

Haunted House Scares Us Bloody!

Isaac and I checked out the Scare for a Cure haunted house last night, and I have to say it's the best haunted house I've ever attended.

The have three levels, green, normal and red, and I highly recommend spending the extra few bucks for the full-contact blood-spatter red level.  It's just that awesome!

It's a haunted house with a story.  When you get there, you're signed up to beta test a fully interactive game, and it goes from there with really effective scene changes, long creepy bits and sudden scares.  Good fun!

You've just got two more days, so go check it out!

Master Bates shares his Movie Love

A great friend of mine with whom I collaborated on the terrific unproduced screenplay Liberty Valiant, Scott Bate, has taken his love of movies to the interweb with a series of great rants on his favorite flicks.

This one is about A Boy and His Dog:

Watch for more episodes on the way!

It's Not About David Foster Wallace, Really

David Foster Wallace hanged himself on Sunday.  The NPR commentator today said it really well, so I'll let him handle that part.

I love his writing, and for many years touted Infinite Jest as my favorite novel.  Me, a man who hates naming favorites had no problem with that one.

Several weeks ago, I finished a tune that had been haunting me for months.  The experience was cathartic, but I didn't have the energy then to work out the chords with Isaac and record it, though he was more than willing.

Tonight, we release "Ravi Taught Me" to the world.  It's the most personal song I've ever written, and it's about another man who took his own life.

Yours,
Reed

Luna Tart loves Bush on Video, thanks to Reed

In a past life I was an independent filmmaker.  No, really.  And I've been putting together the live videos of the Squad for months, but this is the first opportunity I've had to do a quick and dirty video for an artist I respect as much as Isaac and Bruce, the inimitable Luna Tart!

The video is low-key, but the lyrics are NSFW. :)

And then we went ahead and shot a bonus video just for giggles:
